Ovulation Timing Exams (OVT)

Progesterone Testing

• These results help breeders know the best day for breeding, regardless of method. It is also helpful knowing if a pregnant female is close to delivering her litter, especially in the case of a cesarean section.

Transcervical Insemination (TCI)

• The female is awake and standing comfortably. The doctor will use specialized equipment to put semen directly into the uterus. A basic semen evaluation is included with this service.

Fetal Ultrasounds

• This is a method used to verify pregnancy and estimate due date. We can also use ultrasounds to check on the development of the fetuses prior to delivery. We ask clients to book their appointment for ultra sounds at the time of breeding, this will allow the appropriate time needed for this time sensitive visit.

Breeding Soundness Exam (BSE)

• This is an in-depth semen analysis on your stud to check for fertility. We recommend that studs be at least one year of age for best results.
